It's been a long time!

Sorry about my lack of entries. I haven't had anything very interesting to blog. Except, I qualified for the Boston Marathon in St. George. Whoohoo, 3:36 was my overall time. That included 8 pee breaks and pouring rain and wind. I should've been able to cut 10 minutes off but with those conditions, that's what I got. So, I'll be running the Boston Marathon on April 20. I'm pretty excited. That is like the Super Bowl of the running world (with 25,000 other runners:), it is kind of what we all try to obtain in running so I am so happy that I did it.

Football has been fun with the boys. Parker is a brut and makes kids cry. That's right little Parker. Braydon is enjoying his first year and is learning well and wants to play again next year.

Nicole and Megan started voice lessons on Tuesday nights. That should be fun. The kids have been off track and life has been a little chaotic. I will hopefully be a little better at posting now. Be patient with me:)

Football, football and more football:)

Well, Saturday was Braydon's and Parker's first football games. Parker's team played first and slaughtered Copper Hills 21-0!!! Way fun game. Braydon played in Tooele at Miller Sports Park at 1:30 and got beat 21-14 by Taylorsville. Dang. They were both great games and it was so much fun to watch. We got home around 4:00 and hurried and straightened up the house and Jason and Tiffani Nageli and their family, Ryan and Tami and their kids, and Shaun came over for a BBQ. The kids all had so much fun with their cousins and 2nd cousins. They skateboarded and played basketball and playstation. The Nageli kids had a blast. They just moved here from Colorado and I think it was good for them to have someone to visit with. Summer is coming to an end and I am sad. I love the kids being able to play outside. This past winter was so long and I'm not looking forward to another one so soon. I ran 20 miles on Sunday morning with Julie. I only have 2 more weeks before I get to taper for the St. George Marathon and only 5 more weeks before it is here. I'm getting a little burned out with all my training and I'm ready for it to be done.

Hobble Creek

I am so excited! I ran the Hobble Creek Half Marathon on Saturday in 1:35. This was a huge PR for me. I got home around 12:00 and we ran off to Braydon's game. Busy day. This was a payoff for all the hard work I've been putting into my running.

Gettin' ready to race.

Well, it has been a little bit busy this past week. Aug. 14 was my birthday. Happy birthday to me! Ha, ha. I have been running a ton in preparation for the St. George Marathon and the half marathon I have this weekend. Saturday was a 20 miler and both boys had scrimige games (very busy) and Braydon had a car wash fundraiser for football. I am totally loving football but holy cow, I swear that is all they do. I feel like I am always driving someone somewhere. Braydon had another scrimige game in MAGNA last night. There went our whole night. The kids are doing well in school and football has really forced the boys to stick to a stict schedule, which has been really nice in some ways. Nicole started her first day of middle school today. It was a little weird to think I have a child that old. She was really excited but I think she was really nervous also. She looked cute though but when doesn't she. Parker has another scrimige tonight and I am excited to watch him cuz he has been doing extremely well. He might be small but he is tough. Must get that from me. Ha, ha. As my dad always says (quote from movie "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles") "She might be little but her first baby came out sideways and she didn't scream or nothin'." My dad makes me laugh. It was his birthday yesterday along with Sadie, Aunt Beth, and Ethan. Busy day for birthdays.

Finally!!! A relaxed weekend.

Well, the crazy summer has hopefully come to an end. We had a nice, relaxed weekend. Saturday I got up and went running at 6:00 with Julie and her sister and was done and home by 8:45. Everyone was back from all their practices by 11:00 so we got ready and went and saw Batman. It was great. We left the 2 little ones home with a babysitter. What it would be like to only have 3 kids. We came home after and had a nice BBQ with corn on the cob and steak. YUM! Jordan Rigby came over around 8:00 and watched the UFC fights on pay per view and a few friends and Jake came a bit later. They were all gone by 11:00. Off to bed. I got to sleep in until 8:45 on Sunday. It was so nice. We went to church and came home and watched the Olympics. I decided it was a start to a new week and I would get going earlier so I woke up this morning at 6:00 and took off to go running. I need to remember as I am laying in bed telling myself how important that extra hour of sleep is, how nice it is to be done early, rather than having to run on the treadmill at the gym.

Our first blog entry!!!

Well, I decided to give this blog thing a try. We have been so busy this summer. It started with a trip to Lagoon on June 6, TREK June 12-14, Wasatch Back Relay June 21-22, Lake Powell June 23-27, the 4th of July weekend (West Jordan Rodeo and Riverton 10k), Girls Camp, Scout Camp, another trip to Lake Powell and many more wonderful things. Oh, and don't forget that we just started football again. My 3rd little dude (Parker) has Pneumonia and is feeling pretty crappy but I am sure he'll be as good as new before we know it.
